Members of Messiah Church are actively involved in serving the needs of our partnership church, Light of the Cross Worship Center on South Anthony.  Weekly, we bring non-perishable food items and place them in the grocery carts in the south hallway near the Sanctuary.  These are taken to the food bank at LOTC and distributed to those in need.  In July and August, we provide school supplies for a Back-to-School Carnival which is held at LOTC.  At Easter and Thanksgiving we make up food baskets to be distributed at our partnership church.  We also raise money to purchase the meat to go with these baskets.  During the Christmas season we donate new toys and games which are given out at a Christmas party held for children in the  LOTC neighborhood.

Globally

The church financially helps support the David and Kathryn Lawler family, missionaries in Argentina.  Messiah encourages our members to alleviate world suffering in a variety of ways: World Hunger offerings, Lutheran World Relief, Advocacy for Human Rights, Women-to-Women monthly offerings, Global Mission Event held annually.
