It’s not
too late to participate in the Spring Session!
Come
discover the EPIC tale God is telling, and the role that is yours to play!
Messiah’s Spring
Session of EPIC is off and running as of Wednesday, April 14th.
We gather in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m., then scatter throughout the church
for three different “ventures” . . .
ü
“Face
to Face with Mental Illness”
– led by Kathy Bayes, the executive director of Fort Wayne’s chapter
of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), this venture will explore the
physical and psychological roots of mental illness, its impact on
individuals and the community, and what we as a church can do to help.
ü
“You Wanna Know
WHAT?!?” with Pastor Paul
– Got questions about God, the Bible, faith, relationships, or whatever?
This is YOUR chance ask ANYTHING. Nothing is off limits; all comers
are welcome to attend. One of the topics on April 21st is,
“Science and Christianity: Are They Compatible?”
ü
“Sharing Your Story” with Pastor Tim
– Yes, you have a
story, regardless if you think or believe it's a good one! God's story is in
all of us. And how will people come to know Christ unless we tell others
about Christ? And how do we share or tell it? What do or don't we tell? And
when? Come and learn the basics...the who, what, where, when, and
why...of sharing God's story in you. It will be a fun and relaxing way,
along with laughing at Pastor Tim's stories, to discuss a sometimes
uncomfortable topic. Let's get the Word out! Share your story.
EPIC
finishes promptly by 9:00 p.m. Childcare IS available – but advance
notice is required. The Spring Venture will run through the
Wednesday before Memorial Day—which makes it a great short term commitment
toward growing in faith and life! To register, contact the office
(485-8716) . . . or just show up this Wednesday!
